FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

WHY TURN TO A PROFESSIONAL?

Often we don’t talk about our feelings, our thoughts. We cannot or do not want to discuss our problems. In the long run, this can have a detrimental effect on both ourselves and our relationships. It is important that we recognize the problem and find a solution as soon as possible. After recognition, the first step is the most difficult. Selection of an external helper.

HOW CAN I DECIDE THAT I NEED A PROFESSIONAL?

Most of the time, we ask the help of family members and friends to solve problems. Unfortunately, this type of advice is often detrimental, as the person we turn to may not be emotionally neutral, and these supporters usually represent the views of one of the parties. This could lead to even more conflict in the long run. In such cases, it doesn't hurt to ask for outside help to map out problems and resolve them.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF WORKING TOGETHER?

The goals planned during the joint work and their implementation will have a positive effect on the individual. Both individual and partner development are more effective if clients are as active participants in counseling as possible, including the lessons learned during therapy and counseling. Here are some examples of what to expect from such a relationship:

a better understanding of ourselves and our goals,

finding a solution to the problems and concerns that led to contacting the councellor

developing communication and listening skills,

learning new patterns of behavior,

improving self-esteem, increasing self-confidence.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE CONSULTATION?

Just a conversation. We identify current sexual difficulties and future sexual goals, and then discuss what factors hinder or help achieve the latter. Between encounters, homework, books, and movies help the party expand their sexual comfort zone until the desired outcome is achieved.

Since sexual intercourse is a shared experience between two people, a first consultation in pairs is recommended. After that, I usually meet with the members of the couple separately to get to know the individual points of view of both parties in order to move forward, and then we will continue working together again.

If you want to come alone or your partner refuses to cooperate, feel free to sign up, as no one’s development can depend on someone else’s participation.

HOW LONG EACH COUNCELLING LASTS?

Depending on the individual / couple, it is usually 60 minutes at the end of a counseling session. Often, the first meeting takes more time to explore problems and develop common goals, so these occasions usually take 1.5 hours.

HOW CAN I CANCEL MY DATE?

The scheduled date is reserved for you. If you do not come to the meeting or cancel it within 48 hours, you will be charged the full consultation fee, notwithstanding your absence.

You can check in every morning and afternoon every day from Monday to Friday. Which one is decided on the basis of personal consultations.
